BIOGRAPHY
Amelia Kennedy is a British born actor and writer currently finishing her degree at California Institute of the Arts in the BFA Acting program. She has also trained with the British American Drama Academy in Oxford, United Kingdom as well as the Atlantic Acting School in New York City.
Taking a special interest in one person pieces, Amelia has recently been seen in ‘Performing History’ -a selection of one person pieces curated by Roger Guenveur Smith at Bootleg Theatre in Los Angeles and ‘Amelia’, a solo piece about Amelia Earhart (CalArts).
Amelia has recently made her directorial debut in a short film she also wrote and acted in entitled ‘Hollow’. Other writing credits include ‘Nothing Good Happens After 3 AM’, an original play that premiered at CalArts’ New Works Festival and ‘Connection’, a short film. Amelia has had three short stories published in the high esteemed New York literary website ‘Literate Sunday’ and also published weekly poetry on her Instagram account @ameliakennedywritings.
